Then more fool Israel. This business of negotiating about commencing 'peace' talks is all a bit of a game but it is a game that the Palestinians are winning hands down. Netanyahu has openly insulted the US President and refused to cease settlements. The Palestinians are now acting reasonably and openly stating that they will enter into negotiations based on the 67 lines as per the American approach, probably in full knowledge that Netanyahu will not or cannot enter such negotiations. The Palestinians also were prepared, with some reservations, to enter into the French peace talks whilst Israel did not even bother to respond. All brownie points to the Palestinians and they still get to seek UN approval of their own State. This may be initially symbolic but some symbols are very powerful.
