Well, ma chere Messaoud, Where was the fight about, thus? Yes, not oil, but opium! Afghanistan got nothing to offer, but opium. Do you think that Western support for the Taliban or Russian support for the other side meant that they truly supported them? Not for the thiniest of percentage. Don't let you be fooled by fabricated stories Messaoud, even when the reality proofs them right for behind what seems right sits often the catch for the real purpose. Is bin Laden not a very rich man? And where did he got it? Don't you agree that world politics, Western and Eastern, is once in a while controlled by corrupted businessmen who try to corrupt society through respected governments. Often those businessmen are just people like you and me and you find them within every society because they have a consortium of own set out rules who oppose any rule that would harm theirs, even religious ones they sometimes do proclaim to honor to the highest degree, meaning also fundamentalistic.
