Mr. Ilan has an interesting point of view. It Haredim act badly, and it gets banner headlines on his items when they do. Dare we hear about the youth of Tel Aviv, the stabbings, the illicit drug trafficking, and the rest of issues that come to the police are blithely ignored. The difference is that Tel Aviv is a so-called secular city. It is supposed to be enlightened and open to everybody, though . . . they do their best to make it hard for an Observant Jew to live "their lifestyle". It is said that the Liberal Left is often more intolerant and prejudiced against Mizrachim and Religiously Observant Jews than Sephardim and Religiously Observant Jews actively oppose the so-called Secularists.
