If that poll was the result of the next election it would mean we would have single issue parties would have over 50% of the Knesset seats with the largest party having just 1 fifth. Do we really want a system where people enter politics for the sole purpose of joining coalitions to gain a disproportionate amount of political influence and push their pet cause not because they actually have a desire to run the country. In the current Knesset there are 12 parties and just 3 of them are mainstream. We need a new system where we have just 3 mainstream parties and the party with the most seats run the country alone for a fixed number of years. All MKs should also be elected through local constituencies rather than a party list that way we know the voters chose the candidate and they don't get elected because they are famous. It will also save the country a hell of alot of money because we won't be having elections on average every 2 years because coalitions break down and after the next election its the same old faces just reshuffled pushing the same old policies. Get rid of the single issue parties and we will have mature government. You don't like the settlements then you get rid of the religious and nationalist parties because they are always needed for coalitions and their demands never change no matter who is running the show. We will only have politicians that the people want and who want to run the country not push their pet causes.
