I am not embarassed by "my" religion. Judaism is not my religion, nor is any other. I am a secular, agnostic Jew with no religion, like millions of other Jews. I do realise this concept is anathema to religious Jews. Not my problem. I do get pissed off by Jews and non-Jews alike who assume it is my religion because I am a Jew. And yes, I would probably feel more at home in Europe had I been born there. But I was born in Israel, so was my mother, Hebrew is my mother tongue, I am a reserve officer in the IDF and I love the land. So - I feel more at home here. Although, year by year, less so, Yair.
