The so-called Orthodox stream of Judaism has gone as far away from the plain meaning of the Tanachic text as the Catholic church has done. The only movement which respects the Torah given to Moses is the Karaite Judaism because: 1. The entire Tanach doesn't mention even once an "Oral Law". 2. Ex.24:12 tells: "...and I will give thee tablets of stone, and a law, and commandments WHICH I HAVE WRITTEN". Neo mention of a Torah be'al pe. 3. The written Torah was forgotten for over 50 years (2.Kings 22:8; 2.Chr.34:15). How could an "oral law" have been preserved? 4. Mishna & Talmud never state "Va'yedaber ha'SH. el Moshe le'emor" or "Ko amar ha'SH"; they're words of men from 2.-5. centuries CE. 5. If the "oral law" was given on Sinai how can it contain all the contradictions between different rabbis? G-d cannot contradict himself!
