It's Brant not Brent and Hamas is a rejectionist front sworn to the destruction of Israel. Letting them get away with anything (even if as you intimate they are missing on purpose to suck Israel into a quagmire) is wrong. They have displayed, with their behavior towards Fatah, exactly what they think of reason and negotiation but they are a harsh reality both in the light of and apart from the conference. Israel must show the collected Arab nations at Annapolis that it is no less glued to its survival than the Arab League still (incessantly) claims it is glued to its failed "all or nothing" position on peace with Israel. Retaliating against Hamas right now could not be better timed. Surely you will recall that any protracted lack of response on Israel's part, in the past, has been met with derision, laughter and more attacks by the Palestinian factions. They need to find a way of controlling themselves. Or, suffer the consequences.
