While no analogy is perfect, that is a very good analogy. But analogies aside, the real point is: If you think the Palestinian people made the right choice - referring to putting their eggs in the Hamas basket - you must not be talking to many Palestinians these days. If I must explain: 1) The world - besides for Syria and Iran - is now supporting Fatah, not Hamas. All the aid money on which the Pals have been depending for so long will go to Fatah, not Hamas. And now support for the Pals is divided into two hostile or at least incompatible camps. 2) The 100 or so Gazans killed by Hamas last week would surely differ with you. And the fact that Gazans face a 'humanitarian' crisis, and depend on Israel for medical care, proves that supporting Hamas was a good thing - HOW?
