WOW see orthodox Judaism as oppressive toward women because they are not allowed to do all the same things men are allowed to do. Women are not allowed to read from a Torah scroll during services or be called up, they cannot wear teffilin or talit etc. WOW wants them to be given equal rights. The religious men and women spend hours every day day in day out praying whilst WOW come along once a month holding a service thats designed to provoke, they want to see haredi protests especially if they turn violent or have the police come and forcibly more them or arrest them because then WOW come out of it looking like innocent victims and just gives the impression their cause is a just one. If this was about prayer they would come along to pray respectfully without the talist & teffilin like all other women do they would be welcome but problem is that doesn't provoke and make the headlines. Anat Hoffman has said that if the Sharansky plan to extend the plaza goes ahead which would also include a proper section for reform services at Robinsons Arch WOW would still probably come to the orthodox section to pray rather than in the section for reform services. Fact is they are feminists and need to get the eyes of the world on them by provoking the religious but at the same time trying to look like innocent victims just do everything they can to make the Israeli public to support them and their cause & shun the oppressive religious.
