Firstly, a well written article. Much of what I read here I did not know. NBN got me to Israel with relative ease. I would agree that once I am here, they have not done much or anything for me. I don't expect much, but I am not the average Oleh. I was SHOCKED to see (after a year after aliyah) how large, fancy and over the top the NBN offices in Jerusalem were, truly. I am very saddened to see that Olim numbers have not grown much or at all (possibly gone done) with NBN. There is NO DOUBT the JA is an archaic body needing a MASSIVE overhaul. NBN brought technology and the process to the masses and kol hakavod for that. Couldnt the JA just hire a bunch of US/UK Olim and integrate technology with teh same results? Bottom line, there is BIG money in Aliyah...and it does not ever reach Olim!
