Would the mideast be so distraught if this relatively feeble flu virus were called 'The Hamster Flu"? Far more people die of infections contracted in hospital than die of the 'swine flu." Why doesn't the world concentrate upon the very many and very real infections which are far more dangerous than the 'swine flu?' How is it that temporal hysteria and a catchy name is allowed to trump good public health policy and medical reality?
