These resolutions weren't confined to settlements. They also cited "targeting of Palestinian civilians and systematic destruction of their cultural heritage" presumably on either side of the green line. A Palastinain State right now would have as its mantra, consistent with these resolutions, that Jews target Palastinain civilians and destroy their cultural heritage. This would be coupled with an underlying assumption that the Jewish state is illegitimate and the Jewish people are not worthy of respect. This perspective is similar to, and as racist as, the Black Nation of Islam. Louis Farrakhan would feel right at home. It's pretty sick. Anyone who is serious about a two state solution will have to recken with how to deal with this. It goes well beyond a political solution.
