Olmert blew it. He failed to achieve a single of his objectives, and has disgraced the nation of Israel before the world with his savage war against Lebanonn (the world didn't give a hoot what he did to Hizbollah). Olmert, like Bush in Iraq, wanted to win the war cheap and easy, with few forces, and lots of 'shock and awe.' The results has been a failure. Now Israel has the choice of telling a helpless nation it rejects peace, or continuing to savage that nation to the disgust of the world. Not a good choice, given the obvious, which is while Hizbollah has suffered, it is far from beaten. If Olmert decides on further war, he had better be willing to go for broke, no more "incurrsions," no more easy terrorizing of civilians, just a full-court push to force Hizbollah out of missile range as fast as possible. Then hope to heck that Israel has some trading partners left in the world.
