    You clearly lack historical knowledge on this subject. Your so-called "people who lived on the land for centuries" were just the arabized crusaders, romans, turks and mongols who kept coming and going yet never evolved any national identity. They never made the land their home in the same way they never made Yerushalyim their capital. 'Their land' was neither a monarchy nor a republic and it never had any borders nor its own currency. They are a figment of a retrospectively projected imagination conjured up circa 1970 by an Egyptian called Yasser Arafat.
