Women of the Wall’s mission is to achieve the recognition of our right as Jewish women to pray as a group, out loud at the kotel with tallit, tefilin and to read collectively from a sefer torah. That our goal is part of a larger movement towards women's equality and religious pluralism does not make that larger goal ours. I fail to see how Rabbi Jacobs' words suggest that Women of the Wall have a wider agenda, since the Rabbi does not speak for Women of the Wall. Women of the Wall is a pluralistic group of women from all the religious denominations, including Orthodoxy and Conservative Judaism.
