islam for centuries have adapted to cultures apart for SA for instance. I am muslim and to most of those hypocrits(you just have to see how they behave out of their countries), I am probably not considered as such. considering the opinion they have of our north african countries and our way of life, this is probably their opinion. we have as a majority adopted a faith, not a culture, an ideology or a law. as soon as my place does not become kaboul, people are free to live like they want as far as I am concerned. the day they impose their way of life to me and all of us, troubles will rise as i will not sell out my berber culture for an arab one nor will I change my way to practice religion to adapt to some saudi standard. spiritual life is between God and people. other people meddling and imposing their views is not acceptable. imposing islam as a political system is te same. religion & politics have to be kept apart, they are a bad couple, i think this is proven . religion must not be corrupted by politicians so leave it out of this. a secular society, even if it is not perfect, garantees right to all. that's a good system. we can be a secular society with our specific muslim flavour as it is the majority but all citizens contribute to society.
