Saudi Arabia and its Sunni ruled neighbors are naturally suspect of growing Iranian developments at home and in the region, especially their support for Shia-aligned sectors of middle-east countries and the resultant unrest in those lands. The Iranians despise their Arab neighbors and see them as backward, relatively unintelligent, and incapable of leading brow-beaten Islam over the centuries back to its former glory as a powerful empire capable of even subjugating one day all the modern infidel world powers. Iran in its quest to achieve regional hegemony and beyond is seen as an overzealous wealthy and heady Persian out for constant eying walks in the neighborhood with his muscular Hezbollah pitbull to guard him as he scopes how to best spread his influence and eventually take over all the properties in the area to add to his estate.
