It may be that consolidating settlments coupled with good military control of the WB is temporary solution which will buy Israel more time. However what is essential is to create what now does not exist. A true and realistic prospect for peace. Is this possible? I think it is because I believe that most Palestinians particularly in the WB are tiered of war. What they want is to live, but as long as they do not see a way to reach peace as they are sure Israel wants to "grab" more and more land and keep "occuping" them and will never give them peace, they will keep being devided over what to do. This means that getting them together to fight terror is almost impossible today, although the Hamas victory in Gaza may have slightly changed this.
