The current war is a culmination of the left initiated policies that started with oslo process and went thru several rounds of talks with the syrians , peace treaty with jordan to unilateral withdrawals. There is not an option the left, and then right turned center, did nt try in the sense of reaching out to the arabs. What else sarid and the left can offer to the people of Israel? Negotiations with hamas whose manifesto proudly features stuff from hadith of the garkhad tree and protocols of the elders of zion? Olmert al least understood that this war is more than getting lebanese prisoners to exchange for the two soldiers. That the whole situation of hezbollah staging a cross border raid every two months should change. Sarid can not comprehend even this simple necesity. The bottomline: The left does nt know how to make peace. The left does not know how to win wars. The left is useless and nobody needs it.
