This volcano of public exasperation was a long time coming. While Netanyahu and the "Likud" broke the camel's back with their clone like copying of American so-called "capitalism" (which is a euphemism for enriching the already rich), the Labor Party started this development and is resposnible as well. It is interesting to see the Hisdadrut latch on to the protests after decades of being part of the establishment....just like the Communists of the old Soviet Union latched on to the revolutionary changes in the 90s. I am particularly hopeful that the young people of Israel will understand the true significance of what is going on. For years they were programmed to fight and die for the country, but in actuality they were fighting and dying for a small group of oligarchs who cared little for their welfare. The entire system needs to be uprooted and re-established. In the interim, we can trust the IDF to defend the nation from anyone who might want to take advantage of the changes.
