Let's see. There are the zealots who think Abbas is a traiter, a Quisling and so on to Palastinians, and their common denominator is that they wouldn't mind seeing Jewish blood flow. Then there are the zealots on the Jewish side who think that the West Bank is "ours", that Arabs should not move to Safad, and so on and their common denomiator is that they wouldn't mind seeing Arab blood flow. Think of the advantages if the zealots would all consider suicide. First, we would know that they just don't advocate bloody policies but that they're willing to live them. Second, they will all quickly get immediate admission to the next world as a result of their glorious and inspiring sacrifice. Third, the rest of us can move on with a live and let live peace. True, our peace will be ideologically unsatisfying not to mention unheroic and impure, but the rest of us are lesser mortals anyway who, like the Shas chief rabbi says, simply want to eat, love our famiies, have decent work and make some small contibution to the world.
