Will someone please let the Egyptians know the crisis is over? Neither the Israeli Foreign Ministry or the US State Department seems to have bothered to inform the Egyptians that they did not reject 'regrets' and ask for an 'apology.' Egypt's government is in a very awkward position right now. It does not need to have the newly liberated populace outraged at what seems to many the gratuitous killing of Egyptian police. The need for close coordination between Egyptian and IDF forces along the border and the free exchange of information is essential to both right now. Time for Avigdor to do a little remedial bowing and scraping as any good diplomat has to do on occasions like this. Time for Bibi to admit he is not infallible. Time for Ehud to put some people on the carpet to explain they can't go around killing any arab in their own country just because their upset.
