It's no secret Hamas and Fatah have different platforms so what does the unity government mean? If Abbas and Olmert agreed on a deal, one that states the conflict is over, recognizes Israel, ends incitement, outlaws militias, will Hamas yield and accept such a deal no matter how they feel about each provision? Not with a verbal commitment but with action? Iraq wouldn't celebrate if Congressman Dennis Kucinich, part of the US government, announced he'll start withdraw troops from Iraq immediately. Nor should Israel celebrate anything Abbas says unless there is proof Hamas will follow his lead.
