Firstly to Adam in Boston, there were only 1.1 million arabs in the whole of what is now Israel and the occupied territories so it is unlikely that "2 million" arabs were expelled in 1948. To Dr Medved, if you care to look at the figures, settlers - especially those in Gaza - are a insignificant percentage of the Israeli casualties. Maybe you were getting confused with Sderot or the residents of Netanya and Tel Aviv. I personally would be perfectly happy to let the settlers stay in the territories under Palestinian rule and Palestinian law and protection. Of course the first one killed by a Palestinian, the first one thrown out of his home - maybe for continuing their provacative acts or maybe simply because a PA official wants his home and the "brave" settlers will be screaming for the IDF protection. Make them sign a legally binding contract saying that the State is not responsible for whatever happens to them, take away their state-issued weapons and wish them the best of luck on their "wastelands and sand-dunes" amonsgt over a million Palestinians. That way we can save the money being wasted on compensation and evacuating them and spend it building up our education system and health service or God forbid, OUR infrastructure instead of the superb infrastructure. No more rubbish about transfer, no calling our soldiers - the people who are DYING protecting you ingrates - "Nazis" and maybe I can get to work undisturbed?
