Why wait till year end to demolish 'illegal outposts'? All settlement in the OPT is illegal and under the Hague Regulations an occupying power has limited rights of use - the only permanent changes permitted are those which are intended to benefit the local population ie the Palestinians. Israel cannot legalise outposts built on 'state land' because as an occupying power it has no authority to do so - what is it that you don't understand about the fact that it is referred to as the OCCUPIED PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES?????? Surely this suggests that this land does not constitute part of the state of Israel....
