Jimmy Carter is responsible for the Camp David agreement which saw Egypt and Israel sign a peace treaty in 1978. He received in 2002 the peace Nobel prize for "his efforts in solving international conflicts through peaceful means and for promoting democracy and human rights". He is by no mean a low-key anti-israeli propagandist. For decades Israel is stuck in a dead-end, talking about peace and causing humiliation and sorrow (the later is shared by fanatics from both parties Israel and Palestinians). When someone comes with new proposition why not listening to him ? Any change has to be looked at as an opportunity for improvement, not as a threat. Otherwise there is no progress anymore. Are Israelis so scared by the grim picture put in front of them by their corrupted short-sighted politicians that they forgot what being Jewish is about ? They should set an example of moral righteousness and look towards the future with confidence and responsibility. Don't ask yourself what the others can do for you (Fatah stopping Hamas terror for instance), ask yourself what you can do for the others (help the palestinians see another democratic path besides terror).
