AMERICAN Jews were voting in the AMERICAN elections. Why would Israel be the #1 priority when deciding who to vote for? Will Israeli place US interets (or the Jewish Diaspora) as their highest priority when they vote in two months?!?! The fact that 90% of American Jews vote in American elections as responsible citizens should not serve as an indication that they are losing interest for Israel (not even that they belong to one political camp or the other.) On another matter: as a subscriber to HaAretz, I feel offended by the insinuation that the newspaper should try to convince the Israeli public of the injustice of the occupation (and I actually do think that the Occupation is eroding the soul of the State of Israel and of the Jewish People) - the goal of the newspaper should be to report the facts and let they speak for themselves. If I wanted anything different, I would watch Fox News instead of reading HaAretz.

Michael Bloomberg.
In a Sanders-Trump presidential race, many Jews will yearn for Bloomberg

Among Israel-minded voters, Sanders would get the J Street vote, Bloomberg would garner AIPAC’s and Trump would scrounge for leftovers.

Israel's angry, bitter left must reclaim the language of hope

We leftists whine and complain, we only talk about how bleak and hopeless life is in Israel. We alienate all those Israelis whose support we need to bring political change.
