I live in the US have observed the mid-east issue for my entire life. What I see is constant tit-for-tat in the name of a god, a body-count that makes me question humanity and escalation upon escalation with no end in sight. I used to hopeful that peace would someday come to your region but now I doubt it will ever happen. Every year, my gov't sends billions of my hard-earned money to arm a conflict broken peace agreement full of broken promises. It breaks my heart and my bank that there is no return for our investment in peace. Now I am becoming just annoyed and do not want any involvement. Soon the US will be bankrupt and there will be no money to send overseas. Then what? My question is simple; why should I care enough to continue to support peace in the mid-east? What is going to be my return on investment? Why should I care about the outcome?
