Two trivial posts made it to the forum. Repeated attempts to point out that the USA has a treaty obligation to defend Iraqi airspace under the Status of Forces Agreement have been censored. I would bet that Mark of Lewiston is sharing my frustration right now. Harretz, or more probably the IDF, has deemed it necessary to not allow REALITY to intrude upon this discussion. An airstrike crossing Iraqi airspace would not be approved by the Iraqi government and thus would require the US to shoot or see our entire national policy in the mideast collapse as we are told to leave Iraq. Due to treaty obligations, an IAF airstrike crossing Iraq would in effect be an attack upon the United States. That would be an insane act for Israel. But it is a point that seems doomed by censors. Which shows just how nuts Israel is becoming.
