They are just fine the way they are. The Palestinians can run the cities and Gaza and Israel can control the rest until the Palestinians tire of the status quo and decide to negotiate with reasonable expectations. If the Palestinians choose a third intifada it will win them nothing but pain. If they choose to dissolve the PA, it will win them nothing but anarchy. Netanyahu's policy is correct for the moment. As to the analogy to catching lots of eggs, that is probably the best that Israel can do in the region it is in. Catch all the eggs it can and make sure the rest land on somebody else's floor.
