Why this pushiness on a concept that is so foggy and probably insulting for non-Jews living here: "Jewish State" What does that mean? That you can with a quiet concience treat non- Jews as second rate citizens? Why is "State" not enough? Recognize israel as a State and homeland for the Jewish people. Why can this not be the formulation? It sounds a whole lot less threatening and basicly means the same that you want the state to identify with Jewish traditions and customs, while giving others the freedom of expression of their traditions. Just like in Europe where you can see States indentify with christianity and see churches synagogues and mosques.
