that when an israeli wins the nobel prize, he's immediatly engrossed by the Israeli nationalists/zealots who join in into one big "hail Israel"?Even Haaretz writes "Israel's Shechtman...". What other country does that? why not write "Israeli Shechtman..."? it's a personal achievement of the person and his team awarded the prize and has very little to do with the country he works in or he's a citizen of (with the exception of the nobel prices for "peace" and "literature/art"). He could have done that in every other developed country in the world! It's the bright mind, not the country he works in that is the price awarded to. This behaviour is especially ridiculous when all the extrem religious/nationalistic people on this talk back applaude him, as they are usually the first to dismiss science and human/ethic progress when it doesn't fit their world view or believe systems. Therefore, hearty congratulations to you Daniel Shechtman, well done for human kind, and my finger to all the nationalists who abuse the opportunity to bask in his brightness.
