Surely it would yet again give Bibi the ammunition he needs to argue that the Palestinians can not be true partners to a peace process. So why is he trying to prevent a break-out? Maybe, a third intifada could just be the trigger that is needed to end the occupation. It would once again focus world attention on the conflict, put the spotlight on Israel's policy of expanding the settlements and its obvious intention not to seek a 2-state settlement - and this time maybe the rest of the world will finally come to its senses and say enough is enough. Netanyahu's strategy of doing nothing and maintaining the status quo might finally be terminated - by others.
