I was at my 6th infection that my urologist recommended circumcision. I'm not into my 9th and am contemplating doing it, despite what will obviously be a painful experience. I'm an adult and have not been able to fight back against the bacteria that have chroically invaded me despite my best efforts to be sanitary. My advice, especially given the growing body of evidence that there is therapuetic value in circumcision, is do you infant boys a favour and circumcise them. Those that say not, setting aside those of bad faith or with psychological problems, is that they are luddites. As to crying, because it is not a snip, I've been at only a couple of circumcisions. In one there was considerable crying and the other, the little boy slept through the procedure. I expect that my experience will be far, far worse.
