I don't understand this patronizing hypocritical article. Levy attacks the Israeli public for not approving of Peretz, with the slanderous libellous charge of 'racism'. Yet he reserves the right to berate Peretz whenever he engages in 'disproportionate force'. In fact, the greatest racism and patronizing attitude comes from far Leftist Ashkenazim like Gideon Levy. He calls Peretz a 'mizrachi' (another disparaging term meaning 'eastern') to describe someone from the Maghreb ('the far West'). For the record, mustache notwithstanding, Ashkenazi Gideon Levy looks more like an Arab than Sephardic Peretz. Check it out: http://www.pbs.org/frontlineworld/stories/israel.palestine/levy.html So, if I attack Gideon Levy's articles, am I being 'racist' now?
