Rabbinic human rights group T’ruah calls for transparency on donor money spent on settlements.17:48 08.10.15 | 1 comments
It takes a brave Israeli newspaper, may be, to show its pluralism. If M. Basharat was critiquing the Arabs, he could be called brave indeed. But rewriting history is not especially brave - it is a hobby for many Palestinians writers. "Arabs were almost wiped off the map a century ago?" What nonsense is this? Fact is, progress in the Arab world is almost exclusively linked to western presence. The Maghreb country are relatively advanced due to the persisting french influence on the education and political system. The Palestinians learn from their best enemy, the Israelis. The only marked exception are the Gulf Emirates who are building their substantial progress with oil money - not with wit like the best countries, but at least, their success is genuine and home grown. In fact most African or East Asian or South American developing countries can claim far better progress with far poorer starts than most Arab countries.
