The issue of recognition is not important at all. What is indeed important is whether PA, no matter who runs it, implements its commitment to disarm the private armies and to concentrate the control over the firearms in its hands: only the Palestinian security forces can posess weapons. As for HAMAS charter, it must be viewed in wider concept, in my opinion. The roadmap and other documents, signed by HAMAS, insist on end of racial incitement and incitement for violence. The HAMAS charter is obviously the document, which incites violence and racial hatred. No, I don't think, that recognition by HAMAS is the real issue. The real issue is implementation by PA of its commitments.
