Let's face it: Compared to other countries who have been confronted with a similar long term conflict situation, Israels army is neither behaving much better nor much worse. In a war-type situation there will always be decisions made which in the eyes of people abroad are (at least) bordering on war-crimes. Therefore the IDF is not the one who should be reproached for bad conduct in the first place, but rather Israels political establi- shment (and the people who vote them again and again into office...) for not doing everything possible to bring this conflict to an end. Unfortunately by far not doing everything possible to bring this conflict to an end....
