The issue you highlight is whether men and women should pray together. This is a different issue than women wearing a tallis or tefillin. So it is fairly clear than the vast majority of men and women benefit from praying without the distraction of "she is attractive". Much like when you take a final exam or a job interview etc... and the proctor is attractive you might think, "that person is attractive". The difference here is that most people praying are trying to connect with and give honor to a higher power. If you went before the judge who was about to sentence you to life in prison or worse, clearly you don't want to say to the judge, "I plead with you.... hmmm, your baiiff is attractive".
