According to your article, Israel is at fault. We sent fighters to kill our children on the Mavi Marmara's. We asked fighters to kill our friends and family near Eilat. We all but begged Hamas to send rockets into Beer Sheva and Ashkelon. Sure, we might not be blameless, but our enemies are trying to kill us. It may not be an existential threat, but its still dangerous. Innocent people get hurt on both sides. Don't blame Netanyahu. He is reacting as best as he can and deserves our support. Would Yossi Beilin do any better? I doubt it. he would be apologizing for defending ourselves and offering land, money, anything to make our enemies love us. It doesn't work that way.
