Why Bibi of course. On a visit to the US in his last cadence he thought he'd 'pop in' to see President Clinton. Clinton didn't like Bibi very much -what's to like? - but Bibi hadn't made any approaches in advance for a meeting. He was piqued that Clinton said no - the kind of pique that characterises much Israeli arrogance about the world in which they live, that on the one hand the world hates them and on the other that it owes them. So Bibi decided to teach Clinton a lesson and went to the nearest evangelical event he could find and appeared as its guest, flaunting new found 'friendship' and currying favour with enemies of the administration. A day or so ago Moshe Arens with typical dry analysis told us how short sighted several Israeli governments have been in doing deals with regional dictators - Mubarak at the top of the list. Glenn Beck is toying with these Israeli fascists for his own aims, mostly to do anything to undermine a black US President, but with typical arrogance our Little Israel/Greater Land-ists think they can wag this donkey's tail. They ignore that Beck was too much even for FoxTV, and ignore the evangelical creed about the Jews, that on the day of judgement all Jews will be converted to the good Christians they ought to have been all along, in order to welcome Jesus back from the dead - as Jews they are unfit, and their hold on the Holy Land is only temporary. This is what this clutch of Israeli fascists has got willingly and stupidly into bed with. Cherpah Ve Bushah!

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
