"We could forget about a diplomatic agenda, ignore Israel’s existential challenge and allow the settlers to continue to rule over us." The Israeli people are not helpless victims of the settlers. The facts are clear: the Israeli government is responsible for the actions of the "settlers" who are instruments of the government in its long established policy of "Zionizing" Palestine. The Israeli government was capable of removing settlers from the Sinai and from Gaza when it decided to do so. The fact that the settlements in the West Bank continue to grow can only be attributed to the settlements being government sponsored. Israelis are not victims of the settlers---the settlers are the victims of the Israelis----what the government does it does in your name since you claim to live in a democracy.
