Interesting development. Coming from a more privacy sensitive country in Europe, I was hoping for such a change for a while. But there is a big difference between a law and it being enforced. And with every retail store and online business in Israel used to using the national ID as a convenient user id, a critical remark by the odd customer is not going to bring about a change, when it involves rewriting countless applications, and converting large existing databases. So is there real meat to this?
