If Livni, Peres, Diskin, Ivri and the NSC were against the continuation of the war, who was for it? Did Olmert/Peretz overrule all opposition? Who were their advisors? Is it possible that Halutz was the chief villain assuring inexperienced ministars that the war could be somehow won? I wonder who has the answers and who bears the responsibilty? Livni seems to come out of this quite clean, except that for some reason she did not fight for her conviction to stop the futile war.
