When considering the opinion of the Syrian population (see WorldTribune from 31-May: "NATO data: Assad winning the war...") with about 70% for Assad, 20% neutral, and 10% against, I would like to conclude that the freedom fighters are Hezbollah and the Syrian Army. I have some Christian friends in Syria, and they are 99% for Assad because he protects them from al-Nusra and its FSA partner. If the West would be guided by humanitarian incentives, it would support Assad to restore peace in Syria, but with the condition to allow a democratic (not armed) opposition like Michel Kilo.
