... the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abass, in a ceremony to commemorate the establishment of the Fatah organization back in 1964 - three years before Israel took over the now disputed territories - announced that it is OK to point the gun against the "occupation", i.e. Israel, and the Palestinian Arabs would continue to demand the return of all refugees into Israel, and would never accept any temporary borders for their state. His statement sounds to me as yet another opportunity to miss an opportunity. Instead of standing tall and honestly state to his people what is and what is not doable in trying to bring the conflict to an end, he repeats the same song of terror that his predecessor, Arafat, sang back in 1964 - before Jews resided in the now disputed territories, but Jews inside Israel were targeted by the Fatah to be murdered, with the aim of bringing down the very existence of the Jewish state of Israel. For all to see and reflect.
