    Follks, I agree, there has been some decline in the IDF. Most of it in the leadership which has grown old in a period where raw power and not guile was easy. But this fiasco was not the doing of the IDF. There was a total lack of strategy. An absolute failure to appreciate the situation, the enemy, the threat, the options available and above all else, how those factors could be used to achieve a practical goal. The fatal mistake was deciding to savage Lebanon instead of concentration on destroying Hizbollah.
