Both Netanyahu and Obama are intelligent, but much of what they do is a result of political considerations and often what they do may not look intelligent. Look beyond the obvious shallow remarks of the article and the comments. What does 90 days buy to add to hundreds of days of peace discussions that have gone nowhere? The current talks without Hamas participation are even less likely to go anywhere. Moreover, as Israel achieves additional ability to defend against Hamas rockets and missiles it has even less incentive to make peace. The Palestinians are now impotent and have nothing to offer Israel to induce a peace agreement; especially if they keep insisting on peace in return for a piece of Jerusalem. The rest of the anti Semitic world talks and talks and makes useless UN Resolutions, but adds nothing to the considerations except to waste money on the Palestinians, who avidly accept it but reserve a bit for their leaders. Without the money coming in they would be nowhere. Why stop that with a peace agreement? It ain’t gonna happen. So this is just a cover-up for something much grander. Maybe an attack on Iran or Hezbollah?? Watch carefully. Which hand has the coin?
