Or any other country reigned by religious fundamentalists? All those stories about ultra-othodox trying to impose their will on the majority, and of rabbis voicing extremist opinions, show that the nation is on the way towards becoming a theocracy. And those who want a Jewsih state don't have any standing pointing fingers at Islamist states. No matter if the law is based on the Thorah or the Quran, that's fundamentalism, pure and simple, and certainly not a democracy. When will the Israeli majority finally start to oppose the power grab of the religious fanatics? Do the extremists already have the upper hand?
