Obama offered to give us free of charge 20 F35s, to start supporting Israel in the UN again & make sure Goldstone die, the freeze would not include Jerusalem and there would be no further demands for a freeze when this one ended. The military establishment, Bib, Liberman and even Shas understood what Obama was offering was to good to refuse. The only condition for supporting the freeze came from Beni Begin who insisted that if Bibi first get Obama to put these promises in writing. When we did that everything changed. Now we were told if we want the planes we must pay for them ourselves, the freeze must include Jerusalem and if no progress is made with the palestinians during the 3 month freeze then Obama would not rule out demanding another one. If Obama was unable to deliver all this then he should never have offered it and instead offered something he was genuinely able to deliver if we agreed on it
